turn it up

one thing that i have always been down on myself about is that i really don’t think i am truly original.  it seems that i am always taking bits and pieces from other people and combining them into my own.  stuff i read, listen to, see, i tend to combine these things into what i consider to be my own style.  i have really struggled with this especially when it concerns my writing, drawing, etc.

but this quote by dali means so much to me because i really think it reveals more about God then he ever intended to.  i think it is important to remember that God is the only true creator and any and all creativity on our part is just a semblance of what he has done in the past.  so instead of beating ourselves up for “not having any true original thought” we should look at it as glorifying God.  anyways just what has been on my mind this christmas season.
